III - Bogart

Right at the birth of noir, the icon of the private detective is formed. Would the archetype have made such a genre defining impression without Humphrey Bogart filling those suits and hats? We try to answer this impossible question with a one-two punch of The Maltese Falcon (1941) and The Big Sleep (1946).
